+hyperion(they/them);

“ —little girl with galaxies in her hands, you are brave. ”

in a burning world

jupiterreed:

twirling lifeless puppets in an abandoned ballroom
under waning chandelier light whilst opera music
hums theatrically in the distance, blood down
the staircase like a ruffled red carpet rollaway,
glowing sockets where there were once
eyes, shriveled bodies where
there was once life.

kissing tastes like a sin
after the flood,
were you always this enamored?
were our bones wrought
for this? will we rot
for this?

i don’t know but the sunset’s pretty,
at least we have that.

pick me like an apple.
wear me like a scar.

i’ll be the last goddamned thing your
heavy eyes will see on a spring-laced night
where our angels turn to wolves
and chase us down
dank alleyways.

let’s go back to the castle where
the blood reigns.

pin me to this breathless temple,
unholiness has never
felt this beautiful.
